Stay hydrated.

Drink lots of fluids especially water and natural fruit juices to thin your mucus, loosen congestion and prevent dehydration.

This will also help to prevent headaches and tiredness caused by dehydration, as well as get rid of the cold fast.

Don’t take alcohol, coffee and caffeinated drinks as they will leave you dehydrated and interfere with your recovery process.

Have a water bottle handy or a glass if you prefer, and refill as often as you drink.

Drink warm liquids.
